Alfred Waterman

Alfred Waterman (13 May 1911 – 27 March 1996) was an English cricketer. He played for Essex between 1937 and 1938.

KK-theory

In mathematics, KK-theory is a common generalization both of K-homology and K-theory (more precisely operator K-theory), as an additive bivariant functor on separable C*-algebras. This notion was introduced by the Russian mathematician Gennadi Kasparov in 1980.
It was influenced by Atiyah's concept of Fredholm modules for the Atiyah–Singer index theorem, and the classification of extensions of C*-algebras by Brown–Douglas–Fillmore (Lawrence G. Brown, Ronald G. Douglas, Peter Arthur Fillmore 1977). In turn, it has had great success in operator algebraic formalism toward the index theory and the classification of nuclear C*-algebras, as it was the key to the solutions of many problems in operator K-theory, such as, for instance, the mere calculation of K-groups. Furthermore, it was essential in the development of the Baum–Connes conjecture and plays a crucial role in noncommutative topology.

Intolleranza 1960

Intolleranza 1960 (Intolerance 1960) is a one-act opera in two parts (azione scenica in due tempi) by Luigi Nono. The Italian libretto was written by Nono from an idea by Angelo Maria Ripellino, using documentary texts and poetry by Julius Fučík, "Reportage unter dem Strang geschrieben"; Henri Alleg, "La question (The Torture)"; Jean-Paul Sartre's introduction to Alleg's poem; Paul Eluard's poem "La liberté;" "Our march" by Vladimir Mayakovsky; and Bertolt Brecht's "To Posterity". The plot concerns a refugee, who travels from Southern Italy looking for work. Along the way, he encounters protests, arrests and torture. He ends up in a concentration camp, where he experiences the gamut of human emotions. He reaches a river, and realises that everywhere is his home. The opera premiered on 13 April 1961 at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. It has a running time of approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes.

Macedonian identity card

The Macedonian identity card (Macedonian: Лична карта) is a compulsory identity document issued in the Republic of Macedonia. The document is issued by the police on behalf of the Ministry of Interior.
Physical appearance
The Macedonian identity card is plastic ID-1-(bankcard) format. The left side shows a photograph of the face the bearer. On the top left corner of the front, the name Република Македонија (Macedonian)/Republic of Macedonia (English) in capitals, and below it the word Личната карта/Identity card is shown. The flag of Republic of Macedonia and the coat of arms are also displayed on the identity card. Every person over 18 is required to obtain an identity card.

Warm (album)

Warm is the third studio album by vocalist Johnny Mathis released in 1958 on the Columbia Records label, in stereo and monoaural. The album was issued in the UK by Fontana Records. Re-issued on CD by Columbia in 1998, paired with the 1958 album Swing Softly.
Overview
Lavishly produced and lushly orchestrated, it is a classic example of the typical Mathis album of the period with a deeply romantic style. The album is noteworthy as being the first of several Mathis albums with a one-word title. Subesquent to this release, Mathis would release further sets with a single word title such as Heavenly and Faithfully in 1959, Rapture in 1962, and Romantically in 1963. As with most of his albums in this period, the musical director was Percy Faith.
