Montane bamboo rat

The montane bamboo rat (Dactylomys peruanus), or Peruvian bamboo rat, is a species of rodent in the family Echimyidae. It is found in Bolivia and Peru. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
