Paxtakor

Paxtakor (Russian: Пахтакор, Pakhtakor) is a city and seat of Paxtakor District in Jizzakh Province in eastern Uzbekistan. In 1989 it had a population of 15,366, and has an estimated population of 23,593 in 2012. In 1974 Paxtakor was granted city status. The city has a cotton-cleaning factory.
