Shady Grove, Cherokee County, Oklahoma

Shady Grove is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 484 at the 2000 census.
Geography
Shady Grove is located at 35°57′11″N 95°5′36″W (35.953001, -95.093290).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 12.6 square miles (33 km2), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 484 people, 181 households, and 131 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 38.4 people per square mile (14.8/km²). There were 200 housing units at an average density of 15.9/sq mi (6.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 57.23% White, 0.41% African American, 35.95% Native American, 0.83% from other races, and 5.58% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.93% of the population.
