Hun Sen Cup

The Hun Sen Cup is the main football knockout tournament in Cambodia.
History
The 1st Samdech Akkak Moha Sena Pedey Decho Hun Sen Cup was organized in 2007. Twenty eight teams from most of the cities and provinces in the country participated. There were two stages - group and knock out. Sixteen teams which qualified from the group stage played in the knock out stage until the finals. Khemara Keila was the Champion and Nagacorp FC was the runner-up.
Having been elected as President of the Football Federation of Cambodia in late 2006, H.E. Lt. Gen. Sao Sokha, who is also the Commander of the Cambodian National Gendarmeries, has initiated a football development programme consisting of grassroots education of coaches and referees, and competitions.
