John Roxborough Smith

John Roxborough Smith was a Canadian politician, who represented the electoral district of Hamilton Mountain in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1960 to 1977 as a Progressive Conservative member. He was first elected in the general election in 1967 in a newly created riding and was re-elected in 1971 and 1975. He was appointed to several dozen Standing and Select Committees of the Legisative Assembly and he was appointed as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education (1972). In his third term of office, he was appointed as Minister of Correctional Services (1975–1977) and Minister of Government Services (1977). He retired from politics in 1977.
