Oyster Marine

Oyster Marine is a British manufacturer of fiberglass sailboats, founded by Richard Matthews in Ipswich, Suffolk in 1973.
History
In 1978, Oyster Marine introduced a 46-foot cruiser-racer designed by Kim Holman & Donald Pye which pioneered the "deck saloon" feature that has since become the company's trademark. In 1997, they launched a 53-foot design by Rob Humphreys and in 2002 a 62-foot Robert Humphreys' design.
In 2008 Dubois Naval Architects designed the company's largest yachts to date, including the Oyster 100 ft and the Oyster 125 ft flybridge. Oyster Marine currently builds 47.5 ft, 54.5 ft, 57.5 ft, 62.5 ft, 66.5 ft, 72.5 ft, 74.5 ft, 82.5 ft and 88.5 ft sailboat.
Awards
In 2012 the Oyster 625 was named the Luxury Cruiser of the Year at the Düsseldorf Boatshow and the Oyster 100-01 was given the Judge's Commendation for yachts under 40m at the World Superyacht Awards in Istanbul.
