Clod Ensemble is a performance company and registered charity based in London, UK. Founded in 1995 by composer Paul Clark and director Suzy Willson, the company creates performances, workshops and other events in the UK and internationally.
Their productions include: "Zero" at Sadler's Wells 2013; Silver Swan most recently performed in the Turbine Hall, Tate Modern 2012; An Anatomy in Four Quarters (2011) which dissected Sadler's Wells theatre and the Wales Millennium Centre; Under Glass whose performers are encased within a series of glass containers and jars (Winner of the Total Theatre Award for Visual/Physical Theatre in 2009); Red Ladies a chorus piece for 18 identically dressed women and Must a collaboration with New York performer Peggy Shaw.
Performances take place in traditional theatre spaces, festivals, galleries and also in found and public spaces. These have included Trafalgar Square, Victoria and Albert Museum...
